Permanent hair removal recognised by the FDA. Effective for all hair colours, including blonde, grey and red.
Cosmetic removal of skin tags and milia using precise short‑wave diathermy. Quick appointments, minimal downtime.
Electrolysis is the only FDA‑recognised method of permanent hair removal. It targets individual follicles and works on every hair colour (including blonde, grey/white and red) and on most skin types. Ideal for small areas, shaping, or hairs that don’t respond to laser.
A fine, sterile probe is inserted into the natural opening of the hair follicle, delivering a small amount of energy to disable the growth cells.
Thermolysis uses radiofrequency (heat) to destroy the follicle quickly. Galvanic creates a tiny chemical reaction for precise destruction. Blend combines both for effectiveness and comfort. Your electrologist will choose the best method for your skin, hair and area.
Because each hair is treated individually, Electrolysis is ideal for facial hairs, light or white hairs, and finishing work after Laser treatments.
• Clients with blonde, grey/white or red hairs that do not respond to laser
• Small areas and precise shaping (e.g., eyebrows*, upper lip, chin)
• Hormonal or stubborn hairs (e.g., PCOS)
• Final clearance after Laser Hair Removal
*We do not treat directly on the eyelid margin.
Each hair is treated individually. The number of sessions depends on the area, hair density, and growth cycles. Most clients benefit from weekly or fortnightly sessions initially, then taper to monthly as growth reduces. Electrolysis results are permanent for treated follicles.
Sensation varies by area and method, often described as a quick heat or tingle. Topical anaesthetic and cooling can be used to increase comfort.
• Avoid waxing, threading or tweezing for 2–3 weeks before (shaving or trimming is fine).
• Arrive with clean, product-free skin. Pause active skincare (retinoids, AHA/BHA) on the area for 3–5 days pre‑treatment.
• Avoid sunbeds and minimise sun exposure; use SPF 50.
• Mild redness or swelling around follicles is normal and should settle within hours.
• Keep the area clean and avoid touching. Skip makeup, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, swimming and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours.
• Apply a soothing gel (e.g., aloe vera) as needed. Use SPF 50 daily.
Electrolysis session prices:
• 20 minutes: £35
• 30 minutes: £45
Free consultation. Patch test if required.
Is Electrolysis permanent? Yes. Electrolysis permanently destroys treated follicles. Multiple sessions are needed to catch hairs in the correct growth phase.
Does it work on light or white hairs? Yes, Electrolysis works on every hair colour.
How long is a session? From 10 minutes for small areas to 60 minutes+ for larger/denser areas.
Does it scar? When performed correctly with appropriate aftercare, the risk is very low. Temporary redness or small scabs can occur while healing.
We offer safe, precise cosmetic removal of common benign lesions using Advanced Electrolysis (short-wave diathermy). Quick appointments with minimal downtime.
Please note: We do not diagnose skin conditions. Suspicious, changing or pigmented lesions should be assessed by your GP or dermatologist before any cosmetic treatment.
Skin tags (acrochordons): Small soft growths commonly found on the neck, underarms, bra line, and groin. They are cauterised at the base to remove them quickly.
Milia: Tiny white keratin-filled cysts often on the cheeks or around the eyes. A superficial opening allows the contents to be released and the opening to be cauterised for quick healing.
We avoid treating directly on the eyelid margin.
• Typical appointment time: 10–30 minutes, depending on the number and size of lesions.
• You may feel brief warmth or a prickling sensation; comfort options are available.
• A small superficial scab often forms and lifts naturally within 5–10 days.
• Most skin tags are removed in a single session. Milia may need more than one visit if multiple are present.
• Pause retinoids and strong acids (AHA/BHA) on the area for 3–5 days prior.
• Arrive with clean skin. Avoid sunbeds and heavy sun exposure; use SPF 50.
• After treatment, keep the area dry for 24 hours. Do not pick or scratch scabs.
• Avoid heat, saunas, steam, swimming, vigorous exercise and makeup on the area for 24–48 hours.
• Apply a soothing gel if needed and protect with SPF 50 during healing.
Pricing depends on the number, size and location of lesions and will be confirmed at consultation. Multiple skin tags can often be treated in a single appointment.
