Mole & Blemish Removal – Plasma Pen (Fibroblast)

Plasma Pen (also called fibroblast plasma) is a precise cosmetic treatment used to flatten and smooth raised, benign moles, skin tags, and small blemishes—without cutting or stitches. Most cosmetic sessions take less than 15 minutes.

How it works

The device ionises atmospheric gas to create a tiny, controlled arc of plasma. When this arc touches the raised lesion, it produces pinpoint micro-injuries and gently sublimates superficial tissue (converting it from a solid directly to a gas). A topical numbing cream is applied for comfort, and small, dark protective crusts form where the energy was placed.

Healing process

The crusts typically fall away naturally within 7–14 days, revealing fresher-looking skin beneath. Follow "dry healing" guidelines—avoid scrubbing, heavy creams, or picking at the area to reduce the risk of scarring. Daily sun protection (SPF 50+) is essential for at least one month to minimise the chance of dark marks or hyperpigmentation.

Important safety precautions

GP or dermatologist clearance: Before any cosmetic mole removal, ensure the mole has been examined and confirmed benign. Suspicious lesions may require further investigation or histology.
Professional treatment only: Avoid at‑home devices. Incorrect use can cause burns, scarring, infection, or inadequate treatment of lesions that should not be removed cosmetically.

FAQ

Does it hurt? Most clients describe brief heat or tingling. A topical numbing cream is applied to keep you comfortable.

How long does it take? Around 10–15 minutes for a single raised mole. Multiple lesions may take a little longer.

Is there downtime? Tiny crusts last 7–14 days while the skin renews. You can usually resume normal activities the same day. Avoid heat (steam rooms, saunas, very hot showers) and heavy workouts for 24 hours.

Aftercare essentials: Keep the area dry, don’t pick, avoid exfoliants/retinoids for 3–5 days, and wear SPF 50+ daily for at least a month.

How many sessions will I need? Most raised, benign moles need just one session; larger or thicker lesions may benefit from a follow‑up at 6–8 weeks.
